Nedrebergtunet

Nedrebergtunet offers several activities, which please both the pallet, body and soul. Baking, brewing and cooking are fun and useful traditional activities. This is also offered as thorough courses.

You can easily reach both the fjord and mountains. Fishing, mushroom picking in the i forest, and picking berries in the mountains, are the most sought after activities in fall. Trips to the summer pasture are perfect for anyone seeking a peaceful quiet time, only accompanied by the sound of the river and some sheep. The mountains in Stryn are great spots for exciting and challenging hikes, both during summer and winter.

Knitting cafe

Every first wednesday of the month, we host a knitting cafe in the school house. Anyone is welcome, with or without knitting gear.
We often take the opportunity to read one of the stories written by former students, for example essays from the 1920′s. We serve coffee and a small bite to eate.

Traditional foods

We offer courses and serve baking goods, from old recipes, baked in our wood fired stone oven. Reed roars, smoked meats and fish, flat bread and «hellekake» (sort of a pancake) are typical traditional cuisine.

Brewing

After years of trial and error, we now offer courses in making home made beer, home brew. This has been a tradition on the farm for many years, however now controlled utterly by a more scientific approach. This is an exercise in patience and accuracy, but the result is outstanding – worth waiting for. We also have samples for tasting, but if you wish we will send the result of your brew to desired location.

Parties

For parties we offer traditional foods from our own kitchen, or catering if desired. In Stova there is room for 35 guests, and Masstova sists 15. Nedrebergtunet also has a pending license for beer and wine (which we activate upon request).

Fairytale hour

Masstova is a house of atmosphere. Walls tinted by soot, candles, burning fire and small windows makes this a great scene for lively fairytale moments. Scary or fun!
